Choose a friendly unit. For this phase, it can't be defeated by having no remaining HP. An opponent chooses a unit they control. Defeat that unit.

Rules

If the chosen friendly unit is attacked by a unit with Overwhelm, there is no excess damage if the chosen unit is not defeated. If there are multiple opponents, the controlling player chooses which one will be "an opponent." The chosen friendly unit can be assigned more damage than its remaining HP. The chosen friendly unit is defeated passively as soon as the regroup phase starts if it has damage on it equal to or greater than its remaining HP.
